See historic aircraft fly-over New York City’s 1st Municipal Airport
located Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn (last traffic light before
Marine Parkway Bridge). Hear the roar of powerful turbine engines. Join
our community in support of our troops and honor the Anniversary of
September 11th. Enjoy a performance of America’s Tenor, Daniel
Rodriquez. Experience displays of historic aircraft.
Arrive Early to Witness History in Flight
1. 8:00 AM Arrival of US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard Helicopters
along with Police aviation units from NYPD and other law enforcement
agencies from as far as Albany, Suffolk and Westchester.
2. 9:00 AM A Chance of a Lifetime to witness the arrival of Historic
Aircraft. Witness history in flight watch WWII bombers and fighter
aircraft land at Floyd Bennett Field.
3. 10:00 AM Formation Fly Over of historic aircraft. Hear the roar of
the powerful engines of a B-25 and airplanes of the past.
4. 11:30 Opening Ceremony with Armed Services Color Guard featuring the
National Anthem sung by America’s Tenor, Daniel Rodriquez and USO girls.
Share in a Moment of Silence in Support of our Troops, and participate
in a Moment of Silence in remembrance of Victims of September 11th on
the 6th Anniversary of terrorist attacks on America.
5. Enjoy an afternoon of hands on displays of aircraft, speak to pilots,
visit the aircraft and have a chance to sit in the cockpit of the
historic planes. Experience tours of historic control tower of NYC’s 1st
airport, and unique opportunity to visit Hanger B full of amazing hands
on displays of historic aircraft restoration projects.
